Fallbrook, CA – With the fast-paced changes facing the fresh produce industry, Del Rey Avocado, in an effort to meet the needs of their customer base, made a decision late in 2017 to begin the complete redesign of their website. The new website (recently launched) focuses on providing buyers from both the retail and foodservice market segments quick and easy access to information they utilize on a daily basis. In addition to focusing on the buying community, Del Rey Avocado has strengthened their commitment by providing access and information to their family of growers globally.
Among the many new enhancements to the website, the most notable sections include a reimagined product section which highlight varieties grown, specialty programs being offered, an expanded ‘organics’ section and a catalogue of product packaging to make buying decisions easier for customers. Other important pages of note include a new section that focuses on the company’s commitment to Fair Trade Mexico. This area of the new website includes a mini documentary entitled “Partnerships that Change Lives,” which highlights Del Rey Avocado’s activities in Mexico to help improve the lives of workers in the state of Michoacán (where a vast majority of Mexican Avocados are grown). The new website also includes an enhanced growers section full of information specifically for Del Rey Growers, a grower log in section and many other useful resources for existing growers and for recruiting potential growers to the Del Rey Family.

The family-owned company has been in operations since 1969 and is headquartered in Fallbrook, California which is in beautiful northern San Diego County. Del Rey Avocado is one of the few California based companies that owns its facilities both on the West and East Coasts and has a total of five packing and distribution centers strategically located throughout North America.
